The National Advisory Council (NAC) for the Cowen Institute is a diverse and distinguished group of national and regional leaders in public education reform. The purpose of the NAC is to:

• Provide advice and strategic direction to the CI to ensure it fulfills its vision and mission
• Contribute ideas, insight, and expertise to assist in the transformation of the New Orleans public education system
• Serve as a national resource, advocate and conduit to encourage the creation of similar university based initiatives at other major, research institutions in the United States
