A Closer Look at the LEAP and GEE Data
By: Laura Mogg | June 11, 2010
Last week, we gave you a brief overview of the LEAP and GEE performance data that was just released by the state. Since that time we have completed a longer brief with further analysis of the LEAP and GEE pass rates. The brief takes a look at this year’s scores, but also considers how these scores compare to the previous year and to 2007, the first full school year after Katrina. We also look at how growth and decline in all New Orleans public schools compares with the state of Louisiana. And finally, we compare the rates of growth New Orleans schools were seeing before Katrina with those after. The brief can be downloaded here.
We encourage you to discuss our analysis in the comment section of this post.
If you are interested in how a particular school performed, you can download information on 2010 4th grade, 8th grade, and GEE pass rates here.
