The Development Officer for the Cowen Institute is a professional fundraising position reporting to the Vice President for Development, Leadership Giving, but working closely with the Executive Director of the Cowen Institute on all matters regarding fundraising. This position will coordinate closely with the Office of Corporate, Foundations, and Research Relations. The position will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding a targeted portfolio of priority prospects for the Cowen Institute’s strategic priorities and objectives. The position is also responsible for developing proposals and other supporting materials for donors and prospective donors. The Development Officer will also work closely with other departments within the Office of Development including Annual Fund, Planned Giving, Stewardship, Corporate & Foundation Relations, and Development Services as well as Alumni Affairs, Communications and other University Relations departments throughout the University. The position will also be responsible for the reporting and administration aspects of the Institute’s development efforts.
